今回は見出しにあるcookie-cutterです。すぐに思いつくのは「クッキーの型抜き」ですが、ハイフンがあると他の意味合いになります。『ジーニアス英和辞典』第４版（大修館）では「型にはまった, 紋切り型の」とあります。LONGMANには “almost exactly the same as other things of the same type, and not very interesting” と定義されていました。
以上のことを踏まえ、私たちが良く使う「ベタな」なども表現できると思いました。(amphibian)
