Stay-log from Nebraska Week 9
I've got only one week left until the last day of IEP. So far, I have learned a lot of hints and tips with which I can survive in all the regular classes, starting from fall semester.
Frankly speaking, I still cannot get rid of my "bugaboos" for writing English. I am kind of afraid of facing with a bunch of essays. However, I got a 95 out of 100 points for an essay assignment the other day! Hopefully that would cheer me some times in the future.
Speaking of which, I went to the zoo in Omaha which is located next to Lincoln. It was really hell-ish temperature that day! Having said that, I really enjoyed taking pics!
Let me talk about my fellow members briefly. I went to the zoo with my classmates. A group of grad students who also shuttled from UNL with us.
All the way to the zoo, I learned a lots of tips to communicate with a person whom I met for the first time. One of my classmate from Malaysia talked with three of grad students so expressively.
I found that the tone of voice and facial expressions played an important role in this Malaysian friend's great skills of communicating with others.
As I wrote here before, I am off to taking an “English shower” soon. It is my turn to put into action what I learned from my friend.
Talk to you later!
