記事の中でfrivolity / frɪvάləṭi / が気になりました。LDOCEで調べると“behavior or activities that are not serious or sensible, especially when you should be serious or sensible”と定義されています。続いて『ジーニアス英和辞典』を参照すると「軽率， 浅薄」という意味と、複数形frivolitiesで「軽薄な言動;つまらないこと;軽い楽しみ」とありました。上記は単数形ですが、メーガン妃のブログに対する名詞なので「軽い楽しみ」といった意味が良いのではないかと思います。例文としてThis is no time for frivolity「冗談を言っている場合じゃない」などがあげられます。(Kiwi girl)
