今回調べたのはタイトルにあったkeep an eye out forという表現です。「注意して見る」というような意味であると予想しました。『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第四版,大修館書店）にはkeep an eye outで「〔…を〕油断なく警戒する,目を皿のようにして探す」とありました。

　keep an eyeだけでも十分「よく見る」というような意味になるのではと思ったのでoutを『ジーニアス英和辞典』で調べてみたところ「最後まで,すっかり;完全に,徹底的に,もう十分すぎるほど」という意味があることが分かりました。そう考えるとkeep an eye outは思っているよりも「注意深く」というような感じがするのではないかなと思いました。過去のブログにKeep an eye outの他の言い方を見つけたのでそちらもご確認ください。あ（rain）
