Teacher's assault leaves 9-year-old boy with broken collarbone
An elementary school teacher got so riled up with a boy who forgot to do his homework that he slammed the 9-year-old against a wall and whacked him on the shoulder, breaking his collarbone.
Police are now investigating the case as one of suspected physical assault resulting in injury in response to a complaint filed by the boy's family.
The third-grader, still complaining of an aching shoulder, stopped going to his municipal-run school in Fukuoka's Nishi Ward, according to the city's board of education and other sources.
