　“pounce on” を取り上げます。文脈から、素早く不法侵入者を確保する様子を表していると思いました。『ライトハウス英和辞典』（第5版　研究社）で調べると「1急に飛びかかる、突然襲う（on, upon, at） 2（人の誤り、失態を）のがさず攻撃（非難）する」とありました。この記事での意味を考えると、襲うというよりは、俊敏な動きで行く手を塞ぐという意味合いを表していると思われます。
　LDOCEには “to suddenly move forward and attack someone or something, after waiting to attack them” と定義されています。
　スーツ姿の女性だけで編成されたこの部隊は、メラニア夫人やイバンカ氏の滞在先でしっかりとした警備をしていても、市民に対して威圧感を与えないよう、場に馴染む警備を目指すことが1つの目標として挙げられているそうです。（aqua）
