“maneuver”/mənúːvər/を取り上げます。『ウィズダム英和辞典』(第３版、三省堂).を引いたところ、名詞で「操作、策略、工作ら巧妙な手段；策を練ること」とありました。また、LDOCEでは“a skillful or carefully planned action intended to gain an advantage for yourself”と定義されています。
