　crispという単語に注目しました。「パリパリ」という意味しか浮かばなかったので、気になりました。『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版，大修館）で調べたところ、「〈紙・布などが〉新しくきれいな，真新しい，ぱりっとした」という意味を見つけました。
　Oxford Dictionary of English (Second Edition Reserved, Oxford University Press)にも、 “(of paper or cloth) stiff and uncreased”という定義を見つけました。
　以上から記事内の “crisp uniforms”は、「ぱりっとした（着こなした）制服」のような意味合いになるかと思います。ちなみにcrispには、「〈野菜・果物などが〉（新鮮で）ぱりっとした」、「〈空気・天気が〉身のひきしまるような，さわやかな」、「〈雪や落ち葉が〉サクサクと音を立てる」や「〈音・画像などが〉はっきりした」などの意味があります。食感以外にも使用できる、面白い単語だなと思います。（Gomez）
