Dozens of Kansai airport employees contract measles since August
OSAKA — Dozens of employees at Kansai International Airport in the western Japan prefecture of Osaka have contracted measles since August, according to the airport operator and the local government.
At least 32 workers in their 20s and 30s were confirmed to have become infected with the disease. Three others, including a doctor who performed virus checkups for the employees, were reported Sunday to have contracted the virus in connection with the epidemic, they said.
この単語をLDOCEで調べてみると、“an infectious illness in which you have a fever and small red spots on your face and body. People often have measles when they are children.” (ninetails)
