Tokyo governor admits political funds diverted for private use

Embattled Tokyo Governor Yoichi Masuzoe admitted to diverting political funds for private purposes following an expose in a weekly magazine.

Masuzoe said May 13 he used 455,000 yen ($4,186) from his political war chest to fund hotel stays and dinners at restaurants before assuming his current post in February 2014.
