　北朝鮮は，金正恩総書記を頂点とする朝鮮労働党の主力メンバーの写真を公開しました。米在住の北朝鮮に関する専門家によると，今回の北朝鮮が公開した写真は，いつもと異なり未加工であるという特徴があるようです。そのうえで，北朝鮮からのいくつかのメッセージが隠されていると主張します。たとえば，主力メンバー9名のうち，スーツを着用しているのが6名に対し，軍服姿は3名となっております。これは，政治が軍主導ではなくなったことを主張したいのではないかという具合です。
　記事の中で気になった表現は"warts and all"です。『Wisdom英和辞典第三版』（三省堂）で調べると「〘くだけて〙 ありのままに, 欠点も含めて」などという意味がありました。Oxford Dictionaries.comには"informal Including features or qualities that are not appealing or attractive"と定義されております。"wart"には「いぼ，(樹皮などの) こぶ」以外に「欠点」という意味があります。"warts and all"では"wart"が複数形になっており，複数の「欠点」も含めてすべてという意味になるのだと思います。他にも，このブログでは"wart"「いぼ」を隠したいことと捉えておりました（warts and all）。（Ume）

"Kim Jong-un is putting himself on the cover of the party newspaper, warts and all," says Mr Madden, of the photo of the leader.
But he says media reports that this is the first time North Korea has released unedited images of its leaders are "nonsense".
For example, a group of photos released in 2009 showed some senior officials with dilated pupils, as if they had been drinking.
Where are the women?
There are none in the released images. The highest position held by women at the moment in North Korea is party department director or vice-director.
Mr Kim's sister Kim Yo-jung, for example, is vice-director of the propaganda department.
