　サウジアラビアが，シーア派の指導者であるSheikh Nimr al-Nimr師の死刑を執行したことで，中東の緊張が高まっております。イランの反対者は死刑執行の知らせを知ると，直ちにテヘランにあるサウジアラビア大使館へ抗議に行きました。イランの人口の95%が，シーア派であるというソース（http://ikeuchisatoshi.com/i-1135/）もあり，緊張が高まることも必然であると思いました。
　記事の中で気になった単語は"redouble"です。『Wisdom英和辞典第三版』（三省堂）によると「<努力･熱意など>を強くする, 倍増する」などという意味がありました。Oxford Dictionaries.comには"Make or become much greater, more intense, or more numerous"と定義されております。"double"から類推するのが難しい単語だと思いました。(Ume)
