全世界でニュースとなっている、ネパールでの大地震についての記事を取り上げます。現在でも2500人以上の死者が確認され、さらに増えるであろうと予想されています。

今回取り上げる単語はrock'n rollでおなじみの"rock"です。これはもちろん「(地震、爆発などが)…を激しく揺さぶる」という意味ですが，同時に比喩で「人を(精神的に)揺さぶる」という意味もあり、The news of his death rocked the village.という使い方ができます。
大地震による被害は今やどの国でも他人事ではなくなってきている気がします。大地震を体験した私たちだからこそできることをしていこうと思います。(lua)
