Transcript of video linked to Santa Barbara mass shooting
Authorities searching for a motive in the drive-by shootings in Santa Barbara,
California, were looking into a video posted on social media that contains a man's tirade against women who rebuffed him, according to police.
In the chilling YouTube video, titled "Retribution," a young man rants for nearly seven minutes against women he says ignored and rejected him.
Authorities have not released the identity of the gunman, but based on what police have told the family of 22-year-old Elliot Rodger, the parents believe he is the man behind the shootings, attorney Alan Shifman, the family spokesman, told reporters on Saturday.
The man in the video identifies himself as Elliot Rodger.
