忙しい高校教員のKoyamamotoくんが何を思ったのか、急に２つもアップしてきたので、応えます。
安倍晋三首相は川に転落した男児を救出した中国人、厳俊さんと、火災現場から逃げ遅れた人を救出した東京都の国吉正男さんを首相官邸で表彰しました。
とくに前者は緊張関係が続く中での明るい話題となりました。そういう意味合いでよく用いられるのがbright spotです。これは「〔不愉快なことが多い中での）楽しい出来事」を意味します（ex. bright spot for the Japanese economy）。（UG）
PM Abe gives commendation to Chinese student for rescuing Japanese boy
Japan and China may be currently at odds, but acts of heroism will always be recognized and honored. Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe gave the Red Ribbon Medal of Honor to a Chinese tourist for his “courageous act” when he rescued a 9-year-old boy from drowning in Osaka last September. People hailed this as a “bright spot” in an otherwise tumultuous year between the two East Asian neighbours.
