Are Katy Perry and John Mayer back together?

It appears that on-again, off-again couple Katy Perry and John Mayer are back on.
The two singers were spotted together at the Friars Foundation event honoring Don Rickles in New York on Monday.
According to People, Perry "was enamored" during Mayer's performance at the event, and onlookers said the two "shared kisses" and "were affectionate towards one another -- very lovey-dovey."

lovey-doveyは「＜カップルなどが＞べたべたした、のぼせた≪アツアツすぎてまわりが見えていない≫」という意味になります。（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第４版』大修館）Oxford Dictionary Onlineにも"very affectionate or romantic, especially excessively so"とありました。
記事では"very"がついているので、よほど「アツアツ」なんでしょうね。
