今回注目するのはrip throughです。以前にも取り上げられています。
rip through - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から
意味は「（場所など）を荒々しく通過する、（爆弾などが）（場所を）吹き飛ばす」です（『ジーニアス英和辞典』第四版、大修館）。
やぶるripと抜けるで荒々しく通過するになるのですね。

また以前にUG先生から教えていただいた、rip offに近い表現でtear offという表現があります。
その二つの違いは、日本語のちぎるとやぶるの違いと同じです。
びりびりちぎるか、一直線にやぶるかです。
このように、すこしことばが違うだけでニュアンスが変わってくるのでこれからも言葉には気を付けたいです。(Sugar)
