After Barnes posted pictures of her final product to her Facebook page to show her cousin in Italy, the images went incredibly viral with more than 47,000 likes and nearly 1,500 shares. The aspiring artist has even been approached by brides-to-be to design their wedding dresses, as well as major designers reaching out to inquire about her work.

ここで気になったのはgo viralという表現です。この表現は以前先生が取り上げられていましたが、（http://d.hatena.ne.jp/A30/20100920/1284970926）初めて出会った表現だったので取り上げさせていただきます。
Viralには「ウィルスの[によって起こる]」という意味がありますが、（『ウィズダム英和辞典　第３版』三省堂）ここでは意味が通じません。Onlineで調べてみると、ODにはこのような定義がありました。”(of an image, video, piece of information, etc.) circulated rapidly and widely from one Internet user to another: “ つまり、go viralで「《写真や動画、情報などが》インターネットを通じて急速に広く広まる」つまり「拡散する」を意味します。viralを使ってこのように表現するのは面白いと思いました。
それにしても離婚届でウェディングドレスとは、すごい発想力です。（Jakie）
