pixellated

修善寺修行2日目です。英王室はこのところ災難続きです。

THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are suing the French gossip magazine which today published topless photographs of Kate on a private holiday.

Legal proceedings have been launched in France for breach of privacy after Closer magazine printed pictures of the duchess during the couple's trip there.
William and Kate were said to be "furious" over the "grotesque" intrusion in to their privacy and feel a "red line has been crossed".

But Closer's editor Laurence Pieau described the reaction as "a little disproportionate", adding: "These photos are not in the least shocking.

中略

The magazine’s French website showed an image of its new front cover with a heavily pixellated photograph of the Duchess in a bikini apparently about to remove her top.

But the pictures were not pixellated in the magazine when it was published this morning.

A royal source added: “We will talk to our lawyers in London and counterparts in Paris to see what options are available.”

pixellated(米: pixelated)は画像の解像度から来た言葉でしょうか。Cambridge Dictionaries Onlineは;

A pixellated image is made up of pixels (= extremely small spots on a computer screen that viewed together make an image).

(UG)
