SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish went up against the Colorado Rockies' best hitters and finished his Cactus League season with a strong performance in a 5-3 victory at Salt River Fields on Friday night. Darvish went six innings against the Rockies, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk. He struck out 11 while throwing 98 pitches. His ERA in four Cactus League games is 3.60 and opponents are hitting .226 off him.

日本語の「６回を投げ」に相当するこのwent (go) six inningsは、わかっていても自分が使うと即座には出て来ない表現です。ちなみに昨日（一昨日）、専修大出身のヤンキース黒田投手が７回を投げ切ったことを伝えた記事の見出しにも、Kuroda goes 7 innings for Yankeesと、このgoが使われていました。開幕を迎えるこの時期なのでgoはピッタリですね。（GP）
