北海道の知床で流氷確認です。春は必ず来ます！ice floesは「板状の浮氷塊」のことです。depositは「貯金」ですがここでは「氷の堆積物」のことを言います。「氷の貯金」というイメージもなんだか素敵です。（Sugiuchi）
Ice floes arrive early in Hokkaido peninsula

Sea ice, the harbinger of the coldest period of the year in Hokkaido’s scenic Shiretoko Peninsula, reached shores along the Sea of Okhotsk on Jan. 17 for the first time this winter.
A cove in the Utoro district of Shari, located in the middle of the peninsula, was covered with ice floes and deposits of ice that were carried ashore.
