Boy in critical condition after falling from 4th floor of school building
An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after he apparently fell from the 4th floor of a school building in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture.
According to police, a teacher saw the boy lying unconscious at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday on the ground outside a building at the school in Saiwai Ward of Kawasaki city, TBS reported. He was rushed to the hospital where he remained unconscious on Thursday, police said.
A Kawasaki City Board of Education spokesperson said that prior to the incident, the boy had a lengthy discussion with his homeroom teacher concerning problems with his homework, and then ran out in a fit of rage to a nearby restroom.
Police said he might have jumped from the 4th floor after that.
