スバルに待望のhybridがラインアップされるようです。またまたsignatureが出てきました。

復習ですが、「スバルといえばSymmetrical AWD」という意味をこのsignatureが表します。「（スバルの）代名詞、お家芸、得意とする」などいろいろな訳があてはまりますね。（GP）

Drive Hybrid in New York

Auto industry watchers have waited for years for Subaru of America Inc. to offer a vehicle with enhanced fuel economy, either with diesel power or a hybrid power system.

Today the Japanese car maker made it official: It will unveil its first-ever production hybrid vehicle, the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid, at next week’s New York International Auto Show.

The coming model is based on the company’s new-for-2013 XV Crosstrek crossover and uses a hybrid system that Subaru engineered in-house to work with its signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. While many of Subaru’s fans hoped the company would start selling diesels in the U.S. as it does in Europe, the company has said the hybrid is a better fit for the U.S. market, at least for now.

In addition to the XV Crosstrek Hybrid, Subaru said it will also reveal a new high-performance concept car in New York.
