荻上直子監督の最新作をAsahi Weeklyがfeatureしています。主演女優のもたいまさこさんのインタビュー中にこの表現に出会いました。文字通り，「食事をする」という古めの言い方ですが，関係を気づくために一緒のパンを食べるということの比喩表現でもあります。company（「仲間」「会社」）の語源を思い出しました。お奨めの映画です！（Fuming）
In a recent interview with Asahi Weekly, Motai recalled that her first overseas acting experience necessitated the breaking down of cultural and generational walls, which is also the film's main theme.
　"I was probably a strange old woman to my young colleagues on the set, just like my character, Baa-chan, in the film. And like Baa-chan, I didn't try to communicate with them initially, because I'm essentially a shy person," said Motai, 57, in the interview in Tokyo.
　"But sharing passion for a film as a common language and breaking bread together every day, we came to get along very well toward the end of the filming. So, in the film's climax, I could naturally raise my voice to encourage my grandson."
　Directed by female filmmaking talent Naoko Ogigami, the movie follows the story of an unusual trio of siblings -a stay-at-home pianist with a panic disorder, a nerd obsessed with plastic models and a mean sister who aspires to become an air guitarist. "Toilet" opened in Japan on Aug. 28.
