今回取り上げるのはcardiac /kάɚdi`æk/ です。『ジーニアス英和辞典』で調べると「心臓（病）の」「（胃の）噴門の」「心臓疾患者;強心剤」とありました。LDOCEには“relating to the heart”と定義されています。
