　empirically /empɪ́rɪk(ə)li/ を取り上げます。「熱心に」といった意味になるのではないかと考えましたが、どうでしょうか。

　『ウィズダム英和辞典』を引いたところ、empiricalで「(理論ではなく)実験[実証、経験]に基づいた」とありました。また、LDOCEでは“based on scientific testing or practical experience, not on ideas”と定義されています。この副詞形がempiricallyになります。
