今回気になったのはplunk downです。『ジーニア英和辞典』によると「〈金〉を使う」「ポロンと鳴る音」と記載されています。またplunkのみだと「〈ギター・ピアノなど〉ポロンとかき鳴らす,弾く」を意味します。LDOCEでは“to spend amount of money on something”と定義されていました。(Kiwi girl)
