紹介する表現はfly in the face of Oです。直訳で「顔の前を飛ぶ」となりますが、これでは意味が通じないので調べてみました。『ジーニアス英日辞典』第４版（大修館）によると、「＜虫などが＞＜人・物＞の前を飛ぶ、＜考え・計画などに＞に公然と反対する」とありました。また、『ロングマン英英辞典』では、“to be opposite of what most people think is reasonable, sensible, or normal”と定義されていました。
つまり、この記事では後者の意味として使われています。本文の訳は「普通のビジネス戦略に反して」といったものになります。(amphibian)
