TOKYO (Jiji Press) — The 100-day-old baby giant panda at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo can now wobble a few steps by itself, according to pictures and a video released by the zoo on Wednesday.
The panda cub, born on June 12, will be able to walk steadily some six months after its birth, said the zoo in Taito Ward.
Ueno Zoo planned to announce the name of the baby panda 100 days after its birth, following the custom in China.
But it has not yet decided its name as various arrangements are being made, said Mikako Kaneko, an Ueno Zoo official.
