注意喚起のために公開したマダニがその場から失踪（？）しました。

今回はfangedを取り上げます。『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版，大修館）によると、「毒牙のある，きば状突起のある」とのことでした。またOxford Dictionary of English(Second Edition Reserved, Oxford University Press)で調べたところ、fangで "a large sharp tooth, especially a canine tooth of a dog or wolf"や "the tooth of a venomous snake, by which poison is injected"、 "the biting mouthpart of a spider"などと載っておりました。
ちなみにfangless で「牙のない」、「害毒を与える力を失った」などの意味になります。(Gomez＠Helsinki)
