Hi from Down Under (NZ)

Hi friends back in Japan!

From today on, I will write this blog in English...! Please be easy on me as well as my English writing!
It has passed for more than a month since I came to New Zealand. I am used to be a Kiwi life. I try to walk barefoot once and eat beef by my hand. I also sleep at an early time just the same as my host mother does.
My affection towards NZ grew fonder after I participated in a SAN (Study Abroad Network) club. Unfortunately, a Taranaki trip (last weekend) was a final event of the club. Anyway, thanks to the club, I became acquainted with a lot of friends.
A different subject, but I need to tell you a bit about my home-mate. She is my English pronunciation "coach". She teaches me how to pronounce "r" as in rice, rainy and Roxy(my family's cat). She told me that the Chinese often use "r" like English-speaking people but the Japanese don't.
I also went to South Island for four days. There are a lot of churches there. One such, the church of the Good Shepherd was most favorite of all because I was able to see Lake Tekapo from the inside of a room of the church. The Lake was blue incredibly. I just regretted that I couldn't see many stars because of the weather. Also, I went to Christchurch. I was shocked at the sight of collapsed buildings and church in the Canterbury Earthquake in 2011. The disaster reconstructions were being carried out everywhere.
I could go on and on, but it looks like it's bed time so I'm gonna stop here. Hope you'll get some flavor of my stay here. Will write more next time.（Aya）
