Businesses pin hopes on Saudi royal visit
Expectations are high among local businesses over the visit of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Japan, as the monarch is expected to be accompanied by a huge entourage.
The Saudi government reserved numerous hotel rooms and limousine taxis in Tokyo ahead of the king’s visit, which was scheduled to start Sunday. It will be the first time in 46 years that a king of Saudi Arabia, which is the largest oil exporter to Japan, has come to this country. The previous visit was made by King Faisal in 1971.
