A kaleidoscope of color is on display at a specialty store in Tokyo's Tennozu district that sells paint pigment.
The walls of the art materials retailer, called Pigment, are lined with 4,500 or so small bottles in almost every shade that contain various natural ore and other pigments.
The vibrant colors on the shelves have proved a big hit with social networking service users and foreign tourists since Pigment opened its doors in summer 2015.
Natural minerals collected from around the world, even Afghanistan, have been ground into fine powder form and turned into paint pigments by mixing in glue.

気になった表現は “a kaleidoscope of” です。kaleidoscopeは/kəˈlaɪ.də.skoʊp/と発音します。万華鏡という意味を持つことばですが、 “a kaleidoscope of” ではどのような意味を表すのでしょうか。『ライトハウス英和辞典』（第5版 研究社）で調べましたが見つからなかったため、電子辞書内蔵の『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第4版 大修館書店）で調べると、「絶えず変化する形、もの、模様、場面、出来事」という意味が見つかりました。
LDOCEには “a pattern, situation, or scene that is always changing and has many details or bright colours” と定義されており、 “a kaleidoscope of cultures” という例が挙げられています。
