今回取り上げる単語は、mushroomです。記事内では動詞で使われており、気になったので調べてみました。
Oxford Dictionary of English (Second Edition Reserved, Oxford University Press)によると、 動詞の意味で“increase, spread, or develop rapidly”、 “from a shape resembling that of a mushroom”
そして “gather mushroom”と定義されておりました。
『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版，大修館）で調べたところ、「キノコ状に広がる，キノコのようにどんどん増える，急成長して[…（の大きさ・程度に）]なる[into, to]，キノコ狩りをする」と載っておりました。
