8 officials blamed for fish market fiasco in report to Koike

A damning report released by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike has pinned the blame on eight high-ranking Tokyo metropolitan government officials for actions that led to the Tsukiji fish market’s relocation being put on ice.

The report, released Nov. 1, holds the eight officials responsible for failing to meet their obligations to replace the contaminated soil with fresh soil and elevate the land with additional soil throughout the Toyosu market compound.

The eight “dogmatically” violated the metropolitan government’s decision to do so, according to the report.

そこで“put on ice”をLDOCEで調べてみると、“to do nothing about a plan or suggestion for a period of time”と定義されていました。 (ninetails)
