It was the spectacular moment of improvisation that kept Leicester City’s Premier League fairytale alive. But then Shinji Okazaki does have form for this kind of thing.
Back in 2012, the man nicknamed the ‘Samurai footballer’ scored what was, if anything, an even more impressive bicycle kick for Stuttgart against Hannover in the Bundesliga.
The stunner was more than sufficient to win Okazaki the German league’s Goal of the Month award and a good few thousand YouTube clicks. But that goal proved a mere consolation in a disappointing 4-2 defeat.
