男子スキージャンプ界のレジェンド 葛西紀明選手の世界大会での2つの記録が新たにギネス世界記録に認定されました。また、贈呈式後には第1子女児が誕生したことを公表しました。

Ski jumping legend Kasai sets 2 new world records

SAPPORO -- Ski jumping legend Noriaki Kasai has been awarded two new certificates by Guinness World Records -- and announced birth of his first child.

At the ceremony, Kasai announced that his first child, a daughter, was born on Jan. 30 -- after his ailing younger sister Kumiko passed away on Jan. 13.

"It may be tough on my daughter if I call her the reincarnation of my sister. I'd like to take good care of my daughter and my family and devote myself (to ski jumping) to live up to people's expectations for me as the winner of these awards," he said.
