Facebookの生みの親であるマーク・ザッカーバーグ氏が子供の誕生を機に新団体を設立することとさらに自分たちの保有するFacebook株の99％を、存命中寄付をし続けると発表されました。時価総額はなんと、約450億ドル＝5兆5000億円だそうです。
SAN FRANCISCO — Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and chief executive of Facebook, announced on Tuesday that he and his wife would give 99 percent of their Facebook shares “during our lives” — holdings currently worth more than $45 billion — to charitable purposes.

『ジーニアス英和辞典(大修館書店)』によると"uncharted"は「(状況、経験などが)未知の」、"water"は「困難な状況」「苦しい立場」とあることから「未知の状況」であることがわかりました。加えて、困難な状況は"be in deep water(s)"でも表すことができます。
関連して、"uncharted"には「海図に載っていない」という意味もあり、"uncharted waters"とGoogleで検索してみると、「大航海時代シリーズ」という歴史シュミレーションゲームというものがあり、その名称となっていました。
