『ジーニアス英和辞典(大修館書店)』でも調べてみたところ、"have a lump in one's throat"の形で載っており、「悲しみなどでのどが締め付けられるような感じがする、胸がいっぱいになる」とありました。bringを動詞にした場合、「胸をいっぱいにする」という意味で様々な使い方があることがわかりました。(lua)
