映画「CHICAGO」から取り上げます。
主人公のRoxieと家具のセールスマンであるFredが話しています。Fredがオニックスクラブのマネージャーとのコネがあると聞いていたRoxieは早く紹介してほしいと頼みます。

Roxy: You know, I don’t want you to feel like I’m nagging at you or anything, but don’t you think it’s about time that your friend down at the Onyx? I mean, it’s been a month since you told him about me. And I know `cause that was the night… Velma Kelly plugged her husband and her sister.

今回気になったのは“nag at”です。辞書には「うるさく小言を言う、がみがみ言う」（『ジーニアス英和辞典第四版』大修館書店）、“to keep asking someone to do something, or to keep complaining to someone about their behaviour, in an annoying way, to make someone feel continuously worried or uncomfortable”（LDOCE）とありました。ちなみに吹替では「催促する」となっていました。ただ言うだけではなく、何度も言うというニュアンスが含まれているようです。（Green）
