Still not letting it go
カリフォルニアのディズニーランドで「アナと雪の女王」のミュージカルが来年の夏から開演するようです。ブロードウェイでの大舞台でのミュージカルというわけではないですが、どのようなミュージカルになるのか楽しみです。
今回はBroadway.comのTwitterから、英語の面白味を実感したフレーズを取り上げます。
Still not letting it go: FROZEN musical is heading Disney California Adventure Park.
いわずもがな、というところであるとは思いますが、 “Still not letting it go”です。「…がどうでもよくなる；（失敗・過去など）を気にしない、〈発言など〉大目に見る（『G4』大修館書店）」という意味の “let O go”に、昨年、一世を風靡した「アナと雪の女王（FROZEN）」の「ありのままで」という訳が話題になった曲、“Let It Go”がかけられています。

日本でもディズニーランドのショーやパレードでフィーチャーされたり、6月にはイディーナ・メンゼルの来日公演があったりと「アナ雪」はまだまだ人気のようですが、アメリカでも、忘れ去られてはいないようです。まだまだ"しぼりとれるうち"はlet it goできないのです。（Inaho）
Frozen-Inspired Musical to Hit the Boards in 2016
A Frozen musical is heading to the stage next summer! However it’s not the big Broadway production we've all been waiting for—that’s still in the works. This is “inspired” by the hit movie and will play the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure park. Apparently the new immersive show will have elaborate costumes and sets, stunning special effects and surprising scenic transformations. As long as frozen fractals are all around, we're all for it.
