今回、取り上げるのは“careen”です。“careen”は「〈車が〉（左右に）揺れながら疾走する;〈車が〉急にそれる」とありました。「『ジーニアス英和辞典第4版』大修館」また、LDOCEには“to move forwards quickly without control, making sudden sideways movements”と記されています。
式典ではカーター長官はISとの戦いが続く中でテロの脅威に対して断固とした姿勢で臨むと強調しました。（faith）
