静岡県西伊豆町で獣害対策として設置された電気柵付近で７人が感電し、うち男性２人が死亡した事故がありました。男児一人が土手に設置された動物よけの電気柵に触れて感電し、助けようとした大人らが次々と感電した可能性が高いことが分かりました。

A group of seven people, including two children, were sent to a hospital at around 4:40 p.m. on July 19 after apparently being electrocuted by an electric fence set up along a river to keep out wild animals in Nishiizu, Shizuoka Prefecture. The accident claimed the lives of a 42-year-old man from Kawasaki and a 47-year-old man from Zushi, both in Kanagawa Prefecture. The Kawasaki man's 43-year-old wife and 8-year-old son suffered minor injuries, while the Zushi man's 42-year-old wife and their 8-year-old son were seriously injured.
