get kiss of lifeという表現のkiss of lifeは『G5』(大修館書店)には「回復策」とありました。他に「｟英｠（口うつしの）人工呼吸（mouth-to-mouth resuscitation）」（--“especially BrE to make someone start breathing again by blowing air into their lungs when they have almost drowned etc”ーーLDOCE） という意味もあり、最初に挙げた意味は、この意味から転じたものと考えることができます。「日本では勢いがなくなった着ものが、キモノとしてドイツ、英国などで息を吹き返しつつある」という意味でしょう。（Kawada）
