イケメン俳優の山本裕典の“お持ち帰り”（one-night stand）報道について自身のブログで謝罪をしましたが、ファンにとっては「ショック」という一言では済まされないでしょう。

I can definitely promise everyone that from the bottom of my heart. However, since this was my private life I took advantage of it and I realize how silly that was now. I regret that this is the kind of person I have been made out to be.”

本文のcut cornersという表現は内容から見ても「〈金・努力・時間などを〉手を抜く」（『リーダーズ英和辞典』第３版、研究社）という意味です。後ろのin regard to以下とセットで「役者として手を抜く」という意味になると思います。LDOCE5には“to save time, money, or energy by doing things quickly and not so as carefully as you should”とありました。ちなみにブログの原文は「仕事だけに集中する」となっていました。ここは反対の発想で訳されています。(Kawada)
