Fire near Tokyo's Shinkansen line disrupts service

Bullet trains are running again on a Shinkansen rail line that connects Tokyo to the major city of Osaka, after a nearby fire suspended service and stranded tens of thousands of passengers.

Tokyo Fire Department spokespersons say the flames started just before sunrise in an entertainment district near Yurakucho Station. The fire burnt 4 buildings near the line. Firefighters have almost put it out.
