overeggが気になりました。早速手持ちの辞書を引いて確認してみますとoveregg the puddingの形で「（（英略式））必要以上のことをする（言う）」（『ジーニアス英和辞典 第３版』大修館）とあり、Collins English Dictionaryでは’to exaggerate (a feature of something) to the point of unreasonableness (esp in the phrase overegg the pudding)’と定義されていました。本文のようにoveregg the puddingではなくoveregg一語で使用される場合もあるのですね。(Shou-VR*)
