今回はaccountを取り上げます。accountには「勘定書」や、サイトを利用するときの「アカウント」がぱっと思い浮かびますが、ここでは「報告」という意味で使われています。（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第4版』大修館）ここでreportが使われていないのは、accountがreportよりもより個人的な話を指すためだそうです。

今回の事故で、多くの被害者が出てしまいました。せっかく花火を楽しみに集まった人たちがこのような事故に遭ってしまったことを考えると、本当に胸が痛みます。被害に遭った方たちのためにも、早急に事故原因を究明してもらいたいです。（Haramii）
