気になったのはsitcomという表現です。これは今では日本語にも入りつつある表現ですが、調べてみると、situation comedyの略型であることがわかりました。（『ウィズダム英和辞典　第３版』三省堂）つまり、「（テレビ・ラジオの）連続ホームコメディ」のことですね。（ibid）
確認のため英英にあたってみると次のように定義されていました。"a regular program on television that shows the same characters in different amusing situations"（Oxford Advanced American Dictionary）
sitcomが略型であるとは知りませんでした。おさえておきたいと思います。（Jakie）
