Q: There are aspects of the show where you are searching for love. Did having the cameras around affect your personal life at all?
A: Not really. At least not on my end, because I live my life as an open book. And I think that if I'm going to find my penguin, my soulmate, that they have to be more than open to what my life is.

今回扱うのはopen bookという表現です。これは、「理解しやすいもの；周知の[明白な]こと；隠し立てをしない人」という意味を表します。（『ウィズダム英和辞典　第３版』三省堂）同辞書にはHusbands are an open book to wives.（夫(の行動)なんて妻には手にとるようにわかっている）というおもしろい用例も載っていました。
また、念のため英英辞書でも調べてみると、Collinsでは"a person or thing without secrecy or concealment that can be easily known or interpreted"と定義されていました。
とてもなじみのある単語同士でしたが、このような意味になることは知らず、面白いと思いました。しっかりおさえておきたいと思います。（Jakie）
